On Sunday I had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of Sara & Seamus at the Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence, Rhode Island. Even though the day brought with it unseasonably hot temperatures, it was a beautiful and memorable day and I was very honored to be a part of it all. Sara and Seamus, Thank You! Best Wishes for an Amazing life together! And, have fun on your honeymoon to the DR!!
Here are a few highlights from the day ( I had a hard time picking just a few, I have so many ‘favorites’ )
First, a few detail shots..

What a beautiful bouquet!
The Ceremony ..
A few portraits..
First Dance..
i’ve been a bad blogger. i know
However, i thought i’d post a few photos from the few that i have taken here locally in this cute little old seaside town called Newport. Bear with me, it is winter and it is cold, so i haven’t been doing a whole lot of outdoor photography, but perhaps this will give you a sense of the local newport feeling. At least for the time being, because summer around here is a whole other story (so i’m told) when apparently the streets are filled with tourists then and you can’t find a parking spot to save your life.
so, i am going to enjoy taking as many photos as i can now while i can get tourist-less photos ![]()

Sorry for the lack of blog posts. It has been quite busy around here.. I don’t have a whole lot of time right now but I thought I’d post a quick photo taken of my favorite subject, my daughter. ![]()
It has been quite a first year for her in life. Not one that has been easy, but she is a strong little girl and I am looking forward to a better year for her in 2008
That said, I took a few candids of her the other day playing with some of the birthday gifts she got. In the photo above she is playing with block books, which ironically she finds better to be chewed on then to be read right now
(teething baby!)
I’ll be in and out for the remainder of the year as we head North for the Winter..(which is just before we head West to California in the Summer where we will take on a more permanent residence!) but I promise to post more from the snowy tundra that we will soon call home after the new year.
So, if you want to follow along our ride feel free to hop on over to our family’s personal blog.
May you have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year 2008!
I met up with two different families this weekend to shoot their holiday photos! The weather was a bit chilly out and the wind was kickin’..but we made do and had fun! Maybe it is because I am now a mommy, but I really enjoy taking child/family portraits lately. Not that I didn’t before, but I just enjoy it even more now.
Ok, off to some photos..first up was Morgan. I met Morgan and her family at a park in Raleigh. She was SO cute running around all over the place!
I love the light in this photo as she ran around the park..

Love how her dad is looking on in the background..

And then, I went across the street to meet Kaden and his family. It had been a year since I had taken photos of Kaden, and it was a joy to see him and take photos of him and his family again!
I met with Pami and Zack (along with their two cute doggies) today for their Christmas card portrait session. I have to say that when Pami suggested that she bring her old lime green chair as a prop, I was soo psyched! An opportunity for more fun and creativity! Well, it couldn’t have gone better..
The light was beautiful and I got just the kind of photos I had envisioned capturing…
Pami and Zack, it was a pleasure to meet you today and I hope you enjoy a preview of some of the photos!
Started off kind of traditional type of photos..

And then had fun ..
I headed to Carrboro, NC for the wedding of Mark and Beth last Saturday.
I had a great time documenting their day..all such very nice people..laid back and fun!!
Here is a sneek peek at some of the images from the day..
First off, I loved her SHOES!
And this lil guy was too cute..

Before the ceremony started I had the chance to take a few of the bride and groom alone..

And this one, which is one of my personal faves..

A few seconds before the ceremony.. I love the way her Dad is looking at her here…

The Maid of Honor was too funny and gave a great toast!

Congrats Beth and Mark! I hope you two are having a fabulous honeymoon!
